Skiathos is located at the northeast Aegean and is the smallest of the Northern Sporades archipelago. It has more than 60 beaches, with a total length of 44 km, all accessible by land or sea. In the city of Skiathos, there is the house – museum of Alexandros Papadiamantis and the Bourtzi, an old fortress, now used for hosting various activities such as exhibitions, consents and theatrical plays.

The nightlife of Skiathos is characterised by various traditional taverns, located right next to the sea, ouzo bars and fish taverns, along with bars and nightclubs.

There are daily routes to and from Volos, Ag. Konstantinos, and during the summer season, Thessaloniki as well. In addition, there are international and national flights to and from the island on a daily basis.
